New Xbox 360 system update brings expanded PayPal functionality, more

When the newest Xbox 360 system update begins to roll out later this week, expect a new option in the payment setting: PayPal is now being added to the possible method of payment. Feeling sketchy about using your credit card after the whole PSN debacle and can’t bother with “4 in the morning” runs to the near &-Eleven to purchase Microsoft points or much needed Xbox live gold membership extensions? Just make sure you have funds in your paypal account, set your payment options to “Paypal” once you launch and install the upcoming XBL update and you good to go!

The Xbox live update is expected to begin rolling out to Xbox 360 owners over the next few weeks and will also feature a disc driver update to allow current disc drives to read a new disc format that expands up to an additional 1gb of storage and a “stand-by/ sleep” mode that activates after an hour of inactivity. It is worth noting PayPal functionality will not be available in the following Xbox LIVE regions: Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Finland, Greece, Hungary, India, Japan, Russia, South Africa, South Korea and Taiwan.
